The short version
If you leave your email address, we keep it to write to you once, on the day Tsitska launches. We do not sell it and do not hand it to anyone for their own use. We measure how the site is used with analytics tools. Write to us and your address is deleted.
Who we are
This site is run by the operator of tsitska.com (“Tsitska”, “we”). You can reach us at [email protected].
We decide what data this site collects and what happens to it. In the words of data protection law, we are the controller.
What we collect, why, and for how long
| What | When | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your email address, the language of the page and the page the form was on | You join the launch list | To send you one letter asking to confirm the address and one email on launch day. The basis is your consent. | Not confirmed: 7 days. Confirmed: until you ask us to delete it or we no longer need it for the launch. |
| Your IP address, the name of your browser and the time, both when you ask and when you confirm | You join the launch list | To be able to show that the address was given and confirmed by its owner. The basis is our legitimate interest in proving consent. | As long as the address |
| Your IP address, the name of your browser, the page asked for and the time | Every visit, in the logs of the server | To keep the site running and to find and stop abuse. The basis is our legitimate interest in a working, safe site. | 30 days |
| A counter tied to your network address, which is stored only as a hash | You submit the email form | To limit how often one network can submit the form. The basis is the same legitimate interest. | 1 hour |
| Your email address and what you write | You send us an email | To answer you. The basis is our legitimate interest in answering. | 2 years |
We do not ask for anything else, and the site has no accounts. You are not obliged to give us any of it: without an address we simply cannot write to you.
Protection against bots
The email form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells a person from a script, usually without asking you anything. When the form is used, Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical signals from your browser, and uses them for this check only. Turnstile does not follow you from site to site. The basis is our legitimate interest in keeping junk out of the list. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Analytics
We want to know which pages are read and where the site gets in the way. For that we use two tools, both of which set cookies in your browser.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, counts visits: the pages you open, roughly where you are, what kind of device and browser you use and where you came from. We have switched off its advertising features and Google signals, and it keeps data that can be tied to a visitor for 2 months. It does not store your IP address. See how Google uses this information.
Microsoft Clarity
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
What you type into a field, your email address included, is masked and does not appear in a replay. Clarity keeps a replay for 30 days.
How to refuse
Neither tool is needed to read the site. You can block or delete cookies in the settings of your browser, and you can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a site keeps in your browser. This site sets none of its own. The analytics tools set these:
| Cookie | Set by | What for | Lives for |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_… |
Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another and keeps the state of a visit | 2 years |
_clck |
Microsoft Clarity | Tells one visitor from another | 1 year |
_clsk |
Microsoft Clarity | Joins the pages of one visit into one recording | 1 day |
CLID, MUID |
Microsoft | Recognise a browser across sites that use Microsoft's services | 1 year |
Who else sees the data
Only companies that work for us and handle the data on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — the network in front of the site, the delivery of mail sent to our address, and Turnstile;
- Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager;
- Microsoft Corporation (USA) — Microsoft Clarity;
- Functional Software, Inc. (USA) — Sentry, which receives the reports of errors of the site;
- the hosting provider whose servers run the site and store the launch list;
- the email delivery provider that sends our letters.
Some of them process data outside Georgia and the European Union, the United States included. Where they do, the transfer rests on the safeguards the law provides for it, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data and do not give it to anyone for their own purposes, unless a law obliges us to.
Your rights
You can, at any time and free of charge:
- ask what we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- withdraw your consent, which removes you from the launch list;
- object to what we do on the basis of a legitimate interest, or ask us to restrict it.
Write to [email protected] from the address in question. We answer within 10 working days. Withdrawing consent does not make unlawful what was done before it.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia or, if you live in the European Union, to the data protection authority of your country. We would like to hear from you first.
Children
Tsitska is made for businesses and freelancers. The site is not addressed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection only. The launch list is stored in a database that only we can reach.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters to people on the launch list, we write to them before it applies.
